General Information on Moth
The moths are insects that can cause serious damage to animals such as feathers, wool, fur and felt. They can also damage some plants, such as herbs, spices and tobacco.
The females lay up to 50 eggs, setting them on an object. The period of development until the adult stage can vary between 30 and 90 days. The lifespan of the moth varies between 3 and 8 days, depending on its sex.
Preparing for Moth Treatment
- Vacuum all carpets, rugs and upholstery. Discard the vacuum bag in an airtight bag immediately.
- Clean clothing wool or natural fibers.
- Make all treatment surfaces accessible (move furniture away from the edge of the walls, empty shelves, etc.)
- Plan to leave your home for the duration of the treatment and return only after 4 hours. Wherever possible, open windows for 20 minutes upon your return. It is also important to not walk barefoot on treated areas for 48 hours after treatment.
