General Information on Blow Fly
Blow flies are attracted by dung, carrion and rotting meat waste. Since the blow fly is often in contact with a lot of bacteria and wanders about on people and their food, they could transmit diseases.
Females lay between 500 and 2,000 eggs in decomposing meat or fish and can live up to 3 weeks.
Preparing for Blow Fly pest treatment
- Empy all bins, especially those containing organic waste.
- Block all holes and make sure to install window screens (in good condition) wherever possible.
- Do the recommended cleaning before treatment.
- Plan that an M MTL specialist could place fly traps in your home. These fly traps should not be moved.
